Scott's Last Expedition - The Natural History Museum - finished 2nd September 2012

I recently went with my son to Scott's Last Expedition, at the Natural History Museum (the exhibition has now finished).

As you may know, Scott died returning from the South Pole just over 100 years ago. This great exhibition showed how he and the members of his team lived in the harsh Antarctic. You could see an outline of the hut they lived in, see what they ate and wore and find out about the huge amounts of scientific research they carried out on the animals, weather and glaciers they saw around them.

My son wants to be an explorer. Seeing exhibitions, at museums like the Natural History Museum, will make you want to become an explorer too! You can find out about Scott here and here.

Who is the brown dog in the picture at the top of the page?
He is our 14 year old chocolate labrador, Cocoa. He loves walks and sniffing things. Here is a photograph taken while he was on holiday - he's hoping for a bite of my sandwich!

More will follow as we get this site up and running!
